What is # Bring Wynonna Home?
#BringWynonnaHome is a fan-lead campaign to find a new network/streaming service for the TV show Wynonna Earp. The campaign started on Social Media but has plans for taking its message to the ‘real world’, as well.
Our goal is to:
- Keep the hashtags #WynonnaEarp #BringWynonnaHome trending on social media — every day consistency is key.
- Pitch various networks (including Syfy!) on social media letting them know why they should #BringWynonnaHome — see images in gallery.
- Continue to promote the campaign through various events and projects through the upcoming days.
See what Earpers are saying today!
Wynonna Earp is a critically acclaimed, celebrated for it’s LGBTQ content, female-lead, sci-fi western TV show about the great-great-granddaughter of Wyatt Earp. Wynonna and her band of misfits fight demons, vampires, witches, and other supernatural baddies in the small town of Purgatory.
Wynonna Earp debuted on April 1, 2016 on the SYFY network, and that same network aired four seasons of the show. However, when the premiere date of the second half of Season 4 was released, it was also revealed that the six episodes in the second half of Season 4 would be the last six to air on SYFY, despite the fact that the network had previously contracted for a fifth season.
Who are the Earpers?
Earpers (the name given to fans of the show), however, are not ones to let their show go without a fight. So they immediately took to Social Media to both ask SYFY to change their mind or to find the show a new home on another network: thus the birth of #BringWynonnaHome.
Earpers not only Fight, but they Give.
